Our commitment to quality begins at the source: sustainably harvested ingredients from the sub arctic zone of Sweden , mainly in the county of Västerbotten , a region defined by untamed coastlines, dense forests and majestic mountain ranges. Lingari® was founded by Oskar and Thomas , two childhood friends with a shared passion for nature, flavor and the untamed beauty of northern Sweden. Their journey began in their own backyard, deep in the wild forests of Västerbotten, where they rediscovered a fruit often overlooked: the lingonberry.
Long considered too tart, too bitter, or too unruly to stand alone, the lingonberry is frequently dismissed as the ugly duckling of Nordic flavors. But the two friends saw its potential. With careful balance and craft, they transformed its sharp bitterness into something bold, complex, and refined – the perfect foundation for a distinctive bitter aperitif. Driven by a desire to create something truly authentic, they turned away from mass-produced, artificial flavors and instead embraced the seasonal, organic ingredients offered by the sub arctic landscape. Their mission was simple: to bottle the spirit of the north in its purest form.
